Robert E. Steele, Vice-President DoD and Intelligence Activities
Robert E. Steele joined Platinum Solutions as the Vice-President responsible for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Activities Business Unit to aid in the growth and management of existing programs and personnel supporting the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corp, and the Defense and National Intelligence Agencies.
Prior to joining Platinum Solutions, Mr. Steele was a Principal Technical Architect for Symantec Corporation where he spent two years leading projects either for, or in conjunction with, the agencies or services of the U.S. Intelligence Community. Prior to Symantec, Mr. Steele was an Account Executive for EMC2 for the Intelligence Community for two years. For six years prior to EMC2, Mr. Steele was a Senior Enterprise Consultant with Microsoft consulting on technical solutions for the U.S. Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. Mr. Steele has consulted to each of the 13 agencies of the U.S. Intelligence Community. He is a respected subject matter expert on implementing technical infrastructure solutions in complex environments and is a confirmed project manager of mission-oriented systems for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community.
Mr. Steele is an alumnus of The University of Alabama in Huntsville where he earned a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in the Management of Technology, and an alumnus of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems and Accounting. He holds certifications including MCSE, MCT, CCNA, CNE, CNI, and earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2001.
Mr. Steele also currently serves as the Deputy Chair of the Intelligence Sub Committee of the Information Technology Association of America and is a member of AFCEA, NMIA, AUSA, and AeA.
