National Security
Success Stories
Our systems and utilities are frequently used in conducting routine and emergency threat assessments and performing real-time, crisis driven intelligence analysis. Our software is widely credited by leading federal law enforcement officials for its mission-critical support of digital image analysis, language processing of the less commonly taught foreign languages, and critical incident reporting. Recent success stories include:
Law Enforcement & Intelligence Linguist Access System (LEILA) - Platinum Solutions developed the Law Enforcement & Intelligence Agency Linguist Access System (LEILA) under the direction of the National Virtual Translation Center (NVTC). The NVTC was established by the Patriot Act for the purpose of providing timely and accurate translations of foreign intelligence for all elements of the intelligence community. LEILA is a Web interface for a comprehensive database of language specialists spanning across multiple agencies and organizations. The database includes detailed information regarding language skills and experience.
Hostage and Barricade System (HOBAS) & the Overseas Kidnapping System (OKS) - Platinum Solutions completed the Hostage and Barricade System (HOBAS) for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in conjunction with partner Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). The HOBAS online application provides the FBI's Crisis Negotiation Unit (CNU) with a centralized repository for hostage, barricade, and international kidnapping incident data and resolution outcomes. HOBAS provides data collection functionality, search capabilities, and statistical analytics. The HOBAS Web application is made available to law enforcement agencies throughout the country via the Law Enforcement Online (LEO) secure network, another Platinum Solutions success story.
