Continuous Integration Using Cruise Control
Platinum Solution at the Northern Virginia Java Users Group (NOVAJUG)
Continuous Integration is the practice of building and testing software several times a day. It offers a way to mitigate the risk associated with integrating source code, data, environments and developers. This presentation discusses the benefits of Continuous Integration and offers an easy way for you to implement it using Cruise Control. The presentation will walk through the steps required to set up a project with Cruise Control and will include example build scripts and configuration files. What you should find is that a few minutes of setup, done at the beginning of a project, can save hours of pain for each release over the life of your software.
Note: This presentation is an expanded version of the one given to our employees last month.
The Continuous Integration Using Cruise Control presentation was delivered on May 24, 2005.
